What is a zine?A zine (pronounced like a shortened form of “magazine”) is a collection of artwork and fanfiction, brought together in one collected work. It is a fan project where people who enjoy the piece of media the zine is focused on can create work based on the series!What are the zine specifications?-SFW planner with physical and digital merch/calendar
-Will feature the ship EndHawks
The number of contributors, and whether the zine will be physical or digital as well as free or for profit, will be determined after the interest checks have closed.Are AUs allowed?Yes, AUs as well as canon-compliant material are welcome.Are spoilers allowed?Spoilers will be allowed.How will contributors be compensated?This will once again depend on the results of our interest checks. We aim to compensate contributors with at least a free PDF of our zine. If sales progress and we can provide free copies of the zine to each contributor, we would love to do so. Any further profits will be split equally between all mods and contributors.Who is allowed to apply?Though this is a SFW project you must be 18 years or older to participate in this zine.Will I require a Discord to participate?Discord is our key method of communication. If you do not have a Discord account and wish to participate, you will be expected to create one.Do I need previous zine experience to apply?Absolutely not! Everyone starts somewhere, and we welcome newcomers to apply.Can I apply for more than one position?Yes, you’re more than welcome to apply for more than one position, provided you’re confident you can handle the increased workload.If I have any questions, where do I ask them?We’re happy to offer any further answers or clarification through our Retrospring!

Art Contributors:
Guidelines/ExpectationsPage Artist
-Page Artists are required to complete 1 full page piece of art for this zine.
-We will be offering the opportunity to create more pages/spreads for interested participants.Spot Artist
-Spot Artists will be expected to create 2-3 smaller spot illustrations in collaboration with one of our Writing Contributors.
-Spot Artists may also have the opportunity to create spot illustrations for more than one fic, or to create a full page illustration.Merch Artists
Digital Merch:
-Digital Merch Artists will be expected to create 2-3 pieces of digital merch, including Discord Emote Packs, Wallpapers for phone and computer, Icons, digital colouring pages and printable merch, etc.
*If the zine requires physical merch, guidelines will be updated to reflect this.Art Application Guidelines:
As an Art Applicant for ‘Bloom’, your work will be judged on your knowledge of anatomy, perspective, composition, colour theory, and personal style.
Please choose examples you feel best reflect the kind of artwork you would like to make for our zine!
Remember, you must be over 18 to apply to ‘Bloom’.Portfolio requirement for Page Artists/Spot Artists:
-3 art pieces showcasing the best of your artistic abilities.
-At least 1 art piece must have a complete background, full shading, and colouring.
-At least one of your pieces must feature a character from BNHA
-Art featuring EndHawks not required but is preferred.Portfolio requirement for Merch Artists:
-At least one sample must feature a character from BNHA
-Merch-specific art is highly encouraged, but it is not necessary.Portfolio links are welcome. Carrd and Google Drive are preferred. We will not accept portfolio accounts on Pixiv, if they are locked for 18+ content.
Please note that Mods will not choose applicants based on external factors like follower counts.

Writing Contributors:
Guidelines/ExpectationsAs a Writer Applicant for ‘Bloom’, your work will be judged on your grammar, flow, ability to tell a story within a given word limit, characterization, and general writing style.
Please choose examples you feel best reflect the kind of fic you would like to make for our zine!
-Writers will be expected to create 1-2 pieces for this zine. Specifications for word count will come later.
-Writers may have the opportunity to collaborate with another writer or artist.
-Fics created MUST be centered around BNHAWriter Application Guidelines:
Remember, you must be over 18 to apply to ‘Bloom’.-Writer Applicants must provide three samples of their writing. For each sample, the word count will be 1.5k - 2k.
-All samples must be SFW.
-At least one sample must feature a character from BNHA
-Pieces featuring EndHawks not required but is preferred.
-If any of your samples are SFW but still contain potentially triggering or mature topics, please make sure that they contain visible tags.Portfolio links are welcome. Carrd, Ao3, FF.net and Google Drive are preferred. We will not accept portfolio accounts on Pixiv, if they are locked for 18+ content.
